## Who is Ariel Coro?

Ariel Coro is the leading technology and innovation expert for U.S. Hispanics, a renowned keynote speaker, and a pioneer who introduced technology content to Spanish-language television in the United States. He is the author of *El Salto* (Random House Vintage Español, 2012), the on-air tech expert for Univision's #1 national morning show *Despierta América*, and a regular contributor to CNN en Español and Univision Network News. Born in Havana, Cuba, Coro fell in love with technology early. At 15 he built one of the first homemade satellite dishes on the island — from an old Soviet radio, a coffee can and a mosquito net — to access forbidden television channels. He fled Cuba at 18, arriving in the U.S. with little formal education and barely speaking English.
