Latino Tech Expert and blogger Ariel Coro wins second LATISM award

Houston, TX, October 31, 2012: Latino Tech Expert and blogger Ariel Coro and his online community Tu Tecnología have won the Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) top Latino Tech Blogger Award for the second time in three years. The winners were announced during the LATISM Awards Gala at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Houston.The LATISM awards are given annually to Latino leaders, social media influencers and organizations in different areas. These individuals and companies have made strides in social media and tech innovation while advancing Latino issues. The awards were created in 2009 and have been presented every year during their annual conference.“It’s an honor to win this award for the second time” – said Coro, “it helps validate the continued work we do year-round to educate and encourage the Hispanic community to get connected and leverage technology as a means to a better life.”Among the winners were Univision’s Jorge Ramos for Best Latino Journalist Covering Latino Issues in Social Media and Google for Best Organization Supporting Latino Tech start-ups.
