Yes, believe it or not, it’s that time of year again: CES 2015. Loads of cool tech, large crowds, long walks and total geeky madness…Yes, it’s time for the Consumer Electronics Show again. As we are fortunate to do every year, we’ll be live from the Las Vegas Convention Center on opening day showcasing some of the coolest products to an audience of millions of viewers in the US and internationally on TV and of course, radio, print, the web and social media. We’ll be also recording news packages for news outlets all over the US.I’m personally looking forward to seeing the latest advances in 3D printing and manufacturing, wearable technologies, robotics, personal and commercial drones, artificial intelligence and the Internet of things, quantum dot and 4K TVs, virtual reality among many other growing trends.Going to CES is like visiting a living lab for the latest innovations where hopeful companies from around the world showcase their latest products on this global stage. I love seeing the many bright-eyed newcomers vying to receive awards, recognition and hopefully some media attention.CES was the launching platform for breakthrough technologies such as the compact disc in 1991, the camcorder in 1981, the VCR in 1970 and more recently, 3D TV, organic LED screens and many more.Consumer electronics is a $208 billion dollar business in the U.S. and CES is the mecca for breakthrough innovation and trend setting for years to come. With more than 3500 exhibitors and 150,000 attendees from over 140 countries, CES is as busy as it gets. Luckily we start really early broadcasting to TV stations on the East coast and miss the crowds, for a little while anyways. We are looking forward to the opportunity to witness front row and center stage the rapidly growing consumer electronics industry and how it continues to become a pervasive aspect of our lives.
