Simple…Cars are becoming the biggest technology investment consumers make and important trends such as connected and autonomous cars are going to take center stage at the show. According to a report by the GSMA, every car in 2025 will have some type of connectivity, a market that will expand to over $50 billion in the next four years. Smartphone integration is also happening at record speeds with manufacturers creating companion apps that integrate with their cars, with an increasing number of features and functionality.The present and future of both cars and automotive companies is tied to technology more than ever. Acclaimed futurist and business strategy consultant Peter Schwartz said in his keynote speech during the Connected Car Expo at the LA Auto Show, “If they don't adapt (car companies), they'll just be hardware suppliers to a software industry”.Established in 1907, the LA Auto Show is one of the most established car shows in the nation and the first major show of the season. Over the course of two weeks, the show reaches hundreds of thousands of shoppers and over 16,000 auto industry decision makers.We are very excited to be covering the show again this year.
