Cala invites Coro to comment on Tech Trends

Technology changes at such a rapid pace and whether you are a techie or not, it is so pervasive that it affects us all.  From the way we work, to the way we socialize and interact with society, it changes us both for the good and sometimes even bad. Ismael Cala recently dedicated an entire show on his prime time program on CNN en Español that reaches more than 40 million homes in both the US and Latin America, to discuss technology trends and its positive and negative effects on society at large.Coro did the interview in the first segment of the show via a telepresence robot by Double Robotics. This marks the first time this technology is used on a Spanish language TV show and showed its viability and ease of use. The Double, is a unique way to bridge the distance be it for business or pleasure, where the user can literally be on the other side of the world and connect via the Double robot and still have a personal real time feel with colleagues and family. Highly useful for large companies and businesspeople that literally need to be in two places at once.Cala also endorsed Ariel’s book again, El Salto – aprovecha las nuevas tecnologías y alcanza tu potencial, and recommended it to his audience. Cala mentioned how the book is instrumental in navigating the digital world in which we live, and was particularly relevant to the show’s discussion that day.The invited guests were: Clix’s Guillermo Arduino and CNN en Español’s Samuel Burke, as well as, Ariel Coro, technology expert and author. “I’m honored to be once again invited to the show to be able to do what I love, which is share my enthusiasm for technology and its limitless benefits. I’m even more honored by Cala’s positive comments about El Salto.,” said Coro.Coro also demonstrated and showed how Google Glass allows users to take photographs, video and even search the web via gestures, touch and voice command among other cool features. At a hefty $1,500 price tag however, it is definitely not ready for prime time.
